* What is a DENIER?

A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread used to make stockings and pantyhose.

The lower the denier number 8, 10, 15, 20, etc., the thinner and more transparent the stocking or pantyhose. Conversely, the higher the number 40, 70, etc., the thicker the material and the less visible the skin.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose in 50 and 100 den, where the skin is barely visible. These are commonly used in autumn and winter.

Tights and pantyhose with a low denier count are usually used for the spring-summer season. The others can be used all year round, for example for ceremonies, as the thinness of the stockings makes them appear more elegant.
