* What is a DENIER?

A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread from which stockings and tights are made.

The lower the DENIER number 8, 10, 15, 20, etc., the thinner and more transparent the stocking or pantyhose. Conversely, the higher the number 40, 70, etc., the thicker the material and the less visible the skin.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. Their use is common in autumn and winter.

Tights and stockings with a low DENIER count are usually used for the spring-summer season. The rest can be used throughout the year, for example for ceremonies, as stockings appear more elegant due to their thin form.
