* What is DENIER?

A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread used to make stockings and tights.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or pantyhose. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker the material and the less visible the skin is.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. These are commonly used in autumn and winter.

Tights and stockings with a low DEN number are usually used for the spring-summer season. The rest can be used all year round, for example for ceremonies, as the thinness of the stockings makes them appear more elegant.
