* What is DENIER?

DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread used to make stockings and pantyhose.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or pantyhose. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker the fabric, and the skin is less visible.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber pantyhose and stockings, in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. These are commonly used in autumn and winter.

Pantyhose and stockings with a low DEN number are typically used for the spring-summer season. The others can be used all year round, for example for ceremonies, as the thinness of the stockings makes them look more elegant.
