* What is a DENIER?

A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread from which stockings and pantyhose are made.

The lower the DENIER number (8, 10, 15, 20, etc.), the thinner and more transparent the stocking or pantyhose. Conversely, the higher the number (40, 70, etc.), the thicker it is, and the skin is less visible.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. These are commonly used in autumn and winter.

Tights and pantyhose with a low DEN number are usually used for the spring-summer season. The rest can be used all year round, for example for ceremonies, as stockings appear more elegant due to their thin form.
