* What is a DENIER?

A DENIER is the unit of measurement for the thickness of the thread used to make stockings and tights.

The lower the DENIER number 8, 10, 15, 20, etc., the thinner and more transparent the stocking or pantyhose is. Conversely, the higher the number 40, 70, etc., the thicker the material and the less the skin is visible.

On the other hand, there are opaque microfiber tights and pantyhose, in 50 and 100 denier, where the skin is barely visible. Their use is common in autumn and winter.

Tights and stockings with a low DEN number are usually used for the spring-summer season. The rest can be used throughout the year, for example for ceremonies, as the stockings appear more elegant due to their thinness.
