Kegel ball: These are two vaginal balls that are particularly suitable for postpartum uterine involution, treatments for the relief and prevention of incontinence, and for strengthening the pelvic floor, which contributes to better and more satisfying sexual relationships. The KegelBall has an egg shape to make both insertion and removal easier.
CAUSES OF PELVIC FLOOR WEAKNESS
The pelvic floor can deteriorate due to pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, high-impact sports, chronic coughing, etc.
- Pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period: These are the main risk factors that predispose a woman to pelvic floor dysfunction. During pregnancy, this is due to the weight of the uterus, which overloads the tissues.
During childbirth, it is due to the baby's passage through the vagina; the condition is worsened by the baby's high weight or a larger head circumference, especially if an episiotomy must be performed. Weakening of the pelvic floor can also occur with cesarean sections.
If the weakened muscles are not properly trained in the postpartum period, the early practice of abdominal exercises or overly aggressive gymnastic exercises can increase the weakening of the pelvic floor muscles.
- Menopause: The passage of time and the hormonal changes during menopause can lead to a loss of pelvic floor flexibility and promote the weakening of the tissue.
- High-impact sports: Sports such as spinning, aerobics, and jogging, which increase intra-abdominal pressure, can lead to a loss of pelvic floor tone even in very young women.
- Genetic inheritance: Two out of ten women have a congenital weakness of the pelvic floor muscles.
- Daily habits : Holding urine for a long time or wearing very tight clothing.
- Other causes : Obesity, constipation, chronic cough, and stress.
HYGIENE AND MAINTENANCE
Therapeutic Chinese Kegel Ball balls must be kept in perfect condition so that they are not infected with pathogens. To do this, wash them before and after use with warm water and a neutral soap, and dry them with a clean cotton cloth.
To sterilize them, you can use Femintimate Accessory Cleaner. Do not use alcohol. The soft silicone from which they are made can be damaged.
